On April 28-29, 2018, Sterling Foursquare celebrated its 90-year Anniversary.  Our church was started in 1928 by Evangelist Sidney Correll who held a series of revival services for six-weeks on the corner of 4th and Oak streets.

Our mission today is much the same as it was in 1928.  We exist to offer: hope for the broken, lives that are thriving, the equipping of believers, and the launching of leaders.  
And we've only just begun.

Knowing that Jesus Christ is the same, yesterday today and forever, we are confident that the same Holy Spirit who permeated the revival services of old is present today to bring forgiveness, healing, restoration, and divine empowerment, all for his glory! 

Foursquare is a movement that started in the early 1920s in downtown LA as a result of the dynamic evangelistic ministry of Aimee Semple McPherson.  1000's of people were coming to the Lord and as a result, the need for churches arose.  Churches were planted throughout the Southern CA area and in a short amount of time more churches were started across the country as people who had been inspired by the movement traveled back to their home states and started churches in their own home towns.  In fact our church, Sterling Foursquare, was started in 1928 as a result of a revival meeting held on the corner of 4th and Oak streets. 
 
Currently there are 1,700 Foursquare churches in the US and over 68,000 churches in 137 countries world-wide.  We are Pentecostal in doctrine, interdenominational in approach, and balanced in style (middle of the road, not given to extremes).
